• Continue to utilize the 12 new personnel added since the implementation of Measure P and continue to:
  • Improve response times
  • Improve response and attention to investigative matters
  • Improve response times to lower priority calls
  • Increase the level of traffic enforcement 
• Contribute towards the Capital Reserve Fund for a New Police Station.

• Purchase equipment and tools to outfit a Tiller.
• Purchase equipment and tools to outfit Transport Capable Squads (TCS).

• Continue the proactive approach with new officers that will improve community and commercial appeal, investigate environmental complaints, reduce community blight, continue to provide Code Compliance services seven days a week and during late weekday/weekend shifts, and address impacts of homelessness within residential communities and commercial zones.

Measure P will:

• Contribute towards Veterinary Expenses for the new animal shelter. 
• Purchase animal shelter supplies such as microchips, vaccines, and food.
• Purchase 160 new animal kennels for the new animal shelter.
• Pay for the civil design of the new animal shelter.
• Contribute to renovations and improvements for the new animal shelter.

Measure P will:

• Contribute towards expenses such as landscaping, furniture, fixtures, and equipment at the new Green Tree Library.
• Pay for the parking lot slurry seal at Eva Del Park.
• Purchase new lawnmowers and 5 new utility trucks for the Parks Division.
• Pay for sidewalk replacements at multiple parks.
• Pay for the replacement of all trash receptacles at parks.
• Pay for restroom remodels at holes 5 & 14 at the Green Tree Golf course.
• Purchase a new scissor lift and 3 new utility trucks for the Facilities Division.
• Purchase wireless scoreboards for select parks.
• Pay for the redesign of the Green Tree Golf Course.

Measure P will:

• Contribute towards the new street design along 7th Street to continue revitalizing the Old Town area.
• Pay for contract services for a detailed analysis of the Transaction and Use Tax.

Measure P will:

• Maintain the baseline costs for the Public Safety Maintenance increase

  • The Public Safety Maintenance Level is the increase in the current fiscal year expenditures and operations and maintenance to Public Safety departments in the General Fund over a fiscal year 2020-21 baseline. The maintenance level allows for Measure P to fund the increases to the General Fund expenditures of the Police, Fire, Code Compliance and Animal Control departments.

Measure P will:

• Contribute towards the purchase of a compacting trash truck, dump trailer, and 2 pick-up trucks to assist with illegal abatement efforts. 
• Support the expansion of illegal dumping operations.
