Hydrant Flushing:   The city of Victorville is dedicated to maintain our water system by flushing our dead end lines to reduce stagnant water, and sediment build-up. The city adheres to the requirements as established by the California Department of Public Health, to ensure high quality water throughout our service area.

As you see our crews flush the water lines in your neighborhood, the water will need to flow at a maximum velocity rate to ensure it cleans out the distribution pipelines. Because of the velocity, it is not possible to capture and reuse this water.  We use our best practices to use the least amount of water during this process.
