City owned storm drainage systems include drain pipes, catch basins, and drainage channels.  Curb and gutter, drainage channels, dirt roads and dirt shoulders, lead to a catch basin with drain pipes crossing roads that flows towards the Mojave River.

Equipment utilized by maintenance personnel includes a closed circuit television (CCTV) equipped inspection truck, combination cleaning trucks, backhoes, dump trucks and personnel crew trucks. This equipment is utilized much in the same manner as in the City's Sanitary Sewer Collection System.

Contact Public Works at (760) 241-6365 to report a drainage problem. Current business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The City’s Storm Drain system utilizes a fee charged on improved parcels located within the City.  This per unit (improved parcel) fee is considered a special revenue fund that is restricted by law or administrative action and can only be expended for specified purposes.
