The Fleet Maintenance Division manages the maintenance, repair and replacement of City vehicles and heavy equipment operation in the City's fleet, which includes Police, Fire, Water District, Airport and Public Works assets.
In keeping with Fleet industry Best Practices, the Fleet Maintenance Division is committed to the development and implementation of a Sustainable Fleet Plan. The objective of a Sustainable Fleet Plan is to seek beneficial opportunities to reduce negative environmental impacts, preserve resources and reduce operation costs through the pursuit of more sustainable business practices.
Fleet staff consists of highly trained and experienced professionals dedicated to insuring the availability and safe operation of fleet assets, through the practice of established repair standards, effective preventative maintenance scheduling and field service support.

The City’s Fleet Maintenance is supported by the General Fund which consists of property tax, sales tax, transient occupancy tax, and franchise tax. This revenue is used to support department services such as public safety, public works, community services, development, and administrative services.
