The funding source for concrete repairs is the Local Transportation Fund (LTF). The revenue for the LTF is derived from a ¼ cent of the local general sales tax that is collected statewide and then returned to its county of origin, which then distributes the funds to cities and unincorporated areas within the county jurisdiction. These funds are considered a special revenue fund that is restricted by law or administrative action and can only be expended for specified purposes.
