The Asphalt Repair section of the Street Maintenance Division maintains and repairs the asphalt and concrete roadways within the City of Victorville.  Inspections of the pavement are performed on a regular basis and information is kept within a pavement management program (MicroPaver).

Pothole repair, pavement patching, overlays and slurry seals are some of the methods used to prolong the lifespan of a roadway system, whole attempting to maintain a safe passageway. On an annual basis, an average of 740 tons of asphalt is used for potholes and patching repairs on city streets.  

Public Works contact is (760) 241-6365 or email us at publicworks@victorvilleca.gov to report potholes, patching repairs or any other asphalt repairs. The City's Corporate Yard is located at 14177 McArt Rd., Public Works Department lobby business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Staff is at constant readiness to assist during emergency and disaster situations, should they arise within the City of Victorville.

 The money to fund the asphalt repairs to the City’s roadways comes from revenue generated from the gas tax which is included in unleaded and diesel fuel purchases.   This Gas Tax fund is considered a special revenue fund that is restricted by law or administrative action and can only be expended for specified purposes.
