Obtain a Burn Permit 

Obtaining a burn permit is easy, just complete the Burn Permit Application. Upon receiving the completed application, we will review the application for completeness then email the permit approval back to you.  There is no fee to obtain a burn permit.

Did you know a burn permit is required to burn weeds? 

Obtaining a burn permit allows you to burn yard vegetation such as weeds, tumbleweeds, grass, leaves and small tree trimmings (tree trimmings can be no larger than 2" in diameter).  Please be aware, processed wood of any form and household garbage may NOT be burned.  Burn permits are valid for one year from the date of issuance.

Burn Conditions 

Prior to burning you will be required to call Dispatch at (800) 472-2376 or (909) 356-3805 to determine if it is a permissive burn day.  Dispatch is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  If it is a permissive burn day, you will be allowed to burn between the hours of 6:00am and 12:00pm (noon).  Burning may be suspended due to high winds, high smog levels, or high fire danger.  View the City's Open Fire Conditions for a complete list of burning conditions and requirements.
