In addition to the annual fire inspection fee, any business operations that are considered hazardous, simply as a result of the normal business operation and use of the building, will also be assessed an annual operational permit fee and receive inspection for those hazards.  Following are a few examples of the hazard categories that require additional permits:

Low Hazard ($35.00 per permit)

• Automobile wrecking yards
• Places of assembly (50-299 occupants)

Medium Hazard ($70.00 per permit)

• Carbon dioxide systems in beverage dispensing
• Dry cleaning
• Fixed hood & duct extinguishing systems
• Places of assembly (300-999 occupants)
• Refrigeration equipment

High Hazard ($105.00 per permit)

• Compressed Gasses
• Cutting and welding
• Places of assembly (1,000+ occupants)
• Repair garages
