Thank you for your interest in conducting business in the City of Victorville!  The following information will assist you with the application process through issuance of your Rental Business License.

RENTAL PROPERTY SIGN

  • Every rental property within Victorville City limits must obtain a Rental Business License.

  • A separate Rental Business License for each property/parcel is required.

  • A Rental Business License must be applied for online through our Citizen Self Service webpage.

  • Every rental property must have an initial inspection conducted by the Code Compliance Division.  The inspection is external only; the tenants will not be disturbed, and the Property Owner is not required to be present.  A Sample Inspection Checklist is available below under Additional Forms for your reference.
  • Annually, the Property Owner or Authorized Representative will inspect the property to verify if it is in compliance with the City's standards.  Please use the Sample Inspection Checklist (below) for reference.  If you are unable to conduct your own inspection, you may pay an additional fee to have the property inspected by the Code Compliance Division.  You will be notified of your options in your Annual Renewal Notice.

Application Checklists

Below are Application Checklists for each rental business type.  To see a full description of each business type, click here.

Each Checklist contains a cover sheet with important information to understand prior to applying for a Rental Business License, how to register online, and how to apply for a Rental Business License online.  The second page is a checklist with specific requirements for that business type; including the associated fees, required forms to be completed and information on what documents are required to be submitted with the application to assist you in the application process.
