Victorville's Center Street Park Demonstration Garden
The Demonstration Garden, located at the corner of Verde and Hesperia Road, is open to the public and provides water thrifty landscaping alternatives for traditional turf. The Demonstration Garden offers distinct areas of landscaping examples to assist homeowners with developing ideas to help conserve water by establishing or converting their home landscaping into something more adaptable to our high desert climate.
The Demonstration Garden offers beautiful ideas for various mulches, pathways, borders, seating options and hardscapes.
Demonstration Garden Landscape Plan/layout
The Demonstration Garden has been arranged into seven aesthetically pleasing themed areas.
- Areas A1, A2 & A3 - Sages, ornamental grasses and ground covers
- Area B - Succulents and California Natives
- Area C- Perennial flowers
- Area D - Ground covers for slopes
- Area E - Natural Borders and Privacy Hedge
- Area F - Artificial Turf in 3 levels of quality
- Area G - Small Shrubs
