The Victor Valley MRF serves as the processing center for the City of Victorville and Town of Apple Valley's residential and commercial recycling programs. The facility processes 100-150 tons per day of recyclables, which are separated into paper, glass, metal, and plastics.
The "RECYCLE ALLEY" DROP-OFF CENTER is located at the MRF and is open to the public and businesses.
The MRF also has a public BUY-BACK CENTER for CRV bottles and cans.
The Recycle Alley Drop-off Center accepts TVs, computers, corrugated cardboard, appliances, and scrap metal, as well as mixed paper, bottles and cans, and plastic containers. The MRF also now accepts mattresses, box springs (king, queen, full, twin), and futon mattresses from area residents for free. (There is a $5/unit charge for mattresses/box springs from businesses.)
By recycling these items at the MRF, residents and businesses reduce the amount of trash going to the landfill. This helps reduce landfill disposal costs and saves valuable resources.
The Recycle Alley Drop-off Center at the MRF is free to all Victor Valley residents and businesses. Note: Free mattress/box spring disposal is only for residents. There is a $5/unit fee for businesses to dispose of mattresses/box springs.
The MRF now accepts carpet and carpet padding from businesses and residents for a fee. As of July 1, 2020, the fee for carpet/padding disposal is $26.59 per ton fee with a minimum charge of $15.00.
The MRF also has compost and mulch available for sale.
Recycle Alley Drop-off Center and the buy back center are open Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please arrive early so that the facility can close promptly at 4 p.m. The facility is closed weekends and major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
