Donations and Fundraising

Each year the B.E.A.R.S. organization raises thousands of dollars to support parks, recreation, sports, and special events for children and families in the Victorville community. Their efforts have helped the City to:

• Build playgrounds, fitness areas, and recreation facilities;
• Provide special events in the community, such as the Spring Festival and the 4th of July Fireworks show; and
• Provide support to community awareness projects such as the Civil Rights Memorial, and the 2016 Community Needs Assessment.

In addition to advocating for City of Victorville projects and programs, the B.E.A.R.S. have envisioned, coordinated and implemented the annual Bicycle Give-Away program for more than a decade. Fundraising for this event continues year-round to ensure the program's sustainability.
