Bob Harriman was elected to the Victorville City Council in November 2022 to represent District 4. Bob is a small business owner who has resided in the City of Victorville for 42 years. He moved to Victorville in 1981 from San Dimas to work at his family’s business, the Bushel Basket. Established in 1977, this iconic Italian produce market and deli was one of the first businesses on Bear Valley Road.
In 1989, Bob married his wife Allison, a lifelong resident of Victorville. Together, they raised their four boys who attended local schools including Liberty Village Elementary. Today, Bob and Allison continue to live in the very first home they purchased together 34 years ago in District 4.
A professional contractor, Bob has owned and operated a successful custom concrete business, High Desert Concrete, for 30 years.
He has been an active participant in community youth activities for more than two decades. He coached his boys’ baseball teams and served as the President of Victorville Little League.
Bob was appointed to serve on the Victorville Community Services Advisory Committee from 2002 to 2006. In this position, he helped the City plan Parks and Recreation activities as well as plan for and design new parks now located within the City.
In 2018, he was appointed to the Victorville Planning Commission where he reviewed and approved land use applications and advised the City on zoning, commercial development, and housing initiatives. He served as Vice Chair for two of his four years as a Planning Commissioner.
Bob ran for City Council so he could take part in developing the great City of Victorville now and into the future.
