The Victor Valley Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) serves as the processing center for all residential curbside recycling and commercial recycling materials from Victorville and Apple Valley. The MRF is the location of the "Recycle Alley" Recycling Drop-off Center where residents and businesses can drop off cardboard, newspapers, scrap metal, electronics, old TVs, computers, clothing/shoes, and appliances FREE of charge. Additionally, the MRF has a public/business BUY BACK center for CRV materials and corrugated cardboard.
Residents can drop off mattresses/box-springs FREE of charge. (There is a $5/unit cost for businesses to drop off mattresses/boxsprings.)
The MRF is also the site of quarterly Shred-Fest & Mulch Giveaway events which are held on the 1st Saturdays of February, May, August, and November from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
The MRF's regular hours (for Drop-off and Buy Back Centers) are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The MRF is closed Saturday and Sunday. The MRF is open to all residents and businesses of the High Desert/Victor Valley.
