More Event Information:
The City of Victorville holds two city-wide Community Cleanup Days each year, usually on the 3rd Saturday in April and the 4th Saturday in October.
The Victorville Community Cleanup Day is a fun way for families, friends, and coworkers to join together to take care of our desert environment, show community support, and keep Victorville a clean and beautiful place to live and work.
Community Cleanup Days are outdoor events and depend on volunteers to be successful. All volunteers must register, which includes an event liability waiver. Minors can participate but must have parent/guardian permission and provide parent/guardian contact information. Volunteers aged 14 and younger must have a parent/guardian accompany them on the service project. High School volunteers (aged 15 through 17) may participate without a parent/guardian present but must be part of a school/civic group with adult supervision. Young children are not recommended at this event.
Volunteers work in teams at multiple locations throughout the City from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to pick up litter from roadsides. Volunteers receive a free event t-shirt (while supplies last) and coupons for a discounted lunch at participating local restaurants. The City also provides volunteers with bottled water, gloves, trash bags, and litter sticks. The City disposes of all the trash/litter collected.
Each event attracts from 600-900 volunteers! Since the event began in October 2007, more than 20,000 volunteers have picked up over 250 tons of litter from around the City of Victorville!
