School Recycling

The City of Victorville supports school recycling through education, outreach, and participation opportunities designed to help campuses reduce waste and recycle more effectively. Schools can receive assistance with starting or improving a recycling program, including recycling signs and posters, recycling containers, guidance on container placement, and tips for maintaining a successful program.

Victorville Recycles Week

Victorville Recycles Week is held each November to encourage recycling awareness and student participation through fun, educational activities. Local schools may take part in friendly competitions and projects such as recycling videos, recycled material sculptures, slogans, posters, and other activities that promote recycling on campus. Participating schools and students may be eligible for awards, certificates, and other recognition.

Teachers who participate may also be eligible for a micro-grant to support sustainable classroom activities, including supplies, project materials, classroom celebrations, or educational experiences.

Information for the next Victorville Recycles Week will be posted when available. Please check back in August for participation details, forms, and program updates.
